On Constantly Being On The Move
Capri has begun her conquest of independance already and although she constantly needs to feel my presence, there are moments when she pushes me away and insists on doing something herself. Pretty rad. She is perfecting her walking skills these days and even likes to test out her running skills much to my dismay.
Capri has really changed a lot the last few months. Whereas she used to wave bye, she now says bye. She knows some of the parts of her body: Her nose, mouth, eyes and ears and now, when she takes a spill, she points to where she has hurt herself, so that I know.
As adults, its easy to be unaware of the little things we do, almost second nature but witnessing it as it happens, days full of ‘firsts’ it really is amazing.
All of you who know me personally will agree when I say Capri is destined to have a jokes personality. Its already coming through and its so exciting to see it develop more week by week.
Not until you have kids of your own can you understand the saying.’kids grow up so fast’. It really does seem to be true. What a gift to witness the development of a little human.
